Meet Scott Schaefer


Principal Infrastructure Consultant

I bring more than two decades of hands-on IT experience across healthcare, local government, public safety, and small-business environments. My background includes roles as an IT director, security administrator, and systems engineer, combining technology planning with the work of building, securing, and supporting the systems organizations depend on.

That experience ranges from supporting hospital infrastructure with hundreds of virtual servers and thousands of virtual desktops to modernizing technology for organizations with multiple offices. Through Applied IT Consulting, I help businesses assess their environments, plan improvements, and carry projects through implementation and documentation.

My work spans Microsoft 365 and Azure, servers and networks, cybersecurity, backup and recovery, and automation. I focus on finding the underlying cause of problems, reducing repetitive work, and making technology easier to manage.
